Physical Education

high-jumpPhysical Education courses are offered for all sixth, seventh and eighth grade students at Western Middle School. This course identifies the fundamentals of fitness and utilizes the daily practice of developmentally appropriate activities such as cardiovascular training, plyometrics, and stretching.

Students are introduced to games, individual and team sports, and fitness related activities as a means to maintaining a high standard of fitness, and practicing positive lifestyle habits on a daily basis. Students are encouraged to use these activities as a means of reducing stress, elevating their overall fitness level, and above all, having fun.
